I’m Trudy Morgan-Cole, author of That Forgetful Shore. I’m also the author of a bunch of other books, which you can read about here. Reviews and interviews are posted here. I write mostly historical fiction, and also inspirational fiction and non-fiction for adults and teens.
In the rest of my life, I’m a mom, wife, and adult-education teacher. I spent eleven years teaching high school in Ontario, Alberta, and Newfoundland, then took a seven-year break to have my kids and stay home with them during the preschool years.
I have a B.A. in English and History from Andrews University, a Master’s degree in English and another (M.Ed.) in Counselling Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. I discovered my life’s calling when I went back to work after my stay-at-home mom years and I got a job teaching English and social studies to adult learners at a wonderful school called The Murphy Centre.
I live in St. John’s, Newfoundland, the place where I was born. I attend the same Seventh-day Adventist church my parents took me to when I was a child. I like to think and talk about all kinds of things, so if you want to keep up on how I see the world and what’s happening with me, check out my personal blog.

Here’s a picture of me on the Long Beach at Coley’s Point, the same beach which plays such a prominent role in That Forgetful Shore.

Our bookclub, “Notre Book Dames”, from Twillingate will be discussing “That Forgetful Shore” tonight. I thoroughly enjoyed the book
Thanks! I hope the book club discussion went well. I love visiting book clubs when I get the chance!
